Best rooms
Request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor facing the inner courtyard (away from the main road). These floors are above street-level noise but still within easy reach of the lift when it's working, and the courtyard side is quieter than the street-facing flank.
First floor rooms, if available, as they have easier access to the street and avoid upper-floor noise from other guests. Request a room at the back of the motel, away from Shaqlawah's main road, to reduce traffic sound.

Avoid ground-floor rooms – they pick up foot traffic noise from the lobby and the street, and the lift (if operational) is directly opposite some ground-floor units. Also avoid any room near the stairwell (usually at each floor end) where guests come and go at odd hours.
Rooms on the second or third floor (if applicable) near the stairwell, as foot traffic and door slams carry. Also avoid any room facing the main road, given Shaqlawah's small-town traffic can be audible at night.
