Request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor facing the rear courtyard (away from Via Bolzano). These floors are above ground-level bustle and the courtyard side is shielded from street noise by the building itself. The upper floors also get more natural light and less traffic rumble.

Request a room on the top floor (third floor). These rooms get the quietest conditions with no footfall above, and the lift serves all levels so access is easy. Top-floor south-facing rooms (overlooking the garden rather than An der Botenbrücke) are the best bet for peace.
