Request rooms on the 4th floor, which is the top floor, facing away from Via Antonio Lombardi toward the inner courtyard or countryside. These get less street noise and more light and privacy. Rooms on the Piano di Mantellini side may have some hillside noise but are generally quieter than street-facing ones.

Request a high floor on the inner courtyard side. Many rooms have shutters that block early light well, but the top floors get better views over Siena's rooftops.

Avoid rooms on the 1st floor directly above the lobby or near the lift, as footfall and lift operations cause noise, especially during breakfast hours. Also skip rooms facing Via Antonio Lombardi (odd-numbered rooms typically front the street) on the 2nd floor; street traffic can be audible even if the road isn’t heavy.
