Rooms to avoid
Avoid rooms on the first floor that face Spitalgasse — the street-level windows pick up foot traffic, delivery vehicles, and the occasional church bell from the nearby parish. Also skip any room directly above the main entrance where the lift shaft runs; the mechanism hums until 11pm.
Avoid ground-floor rooms facing Via Macello. Despite the low traffic on this side street in Lana, delivery trucks for the supermarket and bakery on the same street can start as early as 6 am. Ground-floor rooms are also more exposed to kitchen noises (since the hotel has a restaurant) and street-level movement. Also avoid rooms directly above the main entrance, as the door slams and guest chatter carries up the stairwell.
