Request a room on floors 4–7 facing the cathedral (Dom) side, not the street. These floors are high enough to avoid street-level noise but still below the roof, and the view of the cathedral is unmatched.

Request upper floors (preferably 5th–6th) facing the inner courtyard, away from Helenenstraße. These rooms are quieter and benefit from natural light without street noise.

Avoid rooms on floor 1–3 overlooking Trankgasse; the tram line and taxi rank create constant noise. Also skip rooms directly above the main entrance or the bar (ground floor) as late-night chatter can carry.

Rooms on floors 1–3 facing Helenenstraße. Street noise from traffic and pedestrians is constant, and lower floor rooms are more exposed to vibrations from passing trams (if present on that street). Also avoid rooms directly above or beside the main lift shaft — mid-floor hum can be distracting.
