Request a room on floors 4 through 6 facing the back courtyard (away from Rua Cristina). These mid-level floors avoid street noise and lift traffic, and the rear orientation offers quieter nights in this dense residential-commercial area.

Rooms to avoid

Avoid rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors, especially those facing Rua da Bahia — traffic noise from this one-way arterial street starts early (6am) and continues past 10pm. Lower floors also get exhaust fumes and less natural light. Skip any room near the lift shaft on any floor: the lift is old and clatters loudly.

Avoid rooms on floors 1 to 3 facing Rua Cristina. The street has bus and delivery truck traffic, plus noise from the hotel's own entrance and any ground-floor bar or reception area. Low-floor front rooms also get headlight glare.
