Request an upper-floor room on the street side of the building. Floors 3 and 4 are high enough to reduce street-level noise from the surrounding Ica streets and get a bit more daylight, while still being within reach via the lift if it's working.

Ask for a room on the third or fourth floor facing the internal courtyard. You’ll get more light and air without street-level racket from Túpac Amaru — a fairly busy road even by Ica standards. These floors are above the lift mechanism hum and the kitchen exhaust.

Avoid ground-floor rooms and any room directly adjacent to the lift shaft. Ground-floor rooms here will get noise from the reception area, foot traffic, and any street-facing doors or windows — plus less privacy. Lift-adjacent rooms (often on each floor near the lift landing) get mechanical rumble and guest chatter at all hours.

Stay off the first floor altogether: you’re eye-level with the street and right above the lobby, so you’ll hear both foot traffic in reception and mototaxis outside. Also skip any room directly next to the lift shaft — the motor whines audibly at night.
