Avoid any room on the 1st floor facing Rua 6 — street noise carries up from the narrow residential road with occasional traffic and local deliveries. Also avoid rooms directly above the side entrance or near the lift shaft on any floor: lift machinery hums in rooms adjacent to it.
Avoid rooms on the 2nd floor, especially those overlooking the main road or near the lift shaft. The 2nd floor gets both lift noise and street clatter from the avenue. Ground-floor rooms should be avoided unless you want noise from the lobby and foot traffic.
