Best rooms
Request a room on the first floor (the only floor above ground) at the rear or side of the building, away from the main road. Limón’s Avenida Central gets truck traffic from early morning, so a rear-facing unit greatly reduces road noise. If the hotel has a balcony or small garden space, ask for a room facing that side.
Request a room on the higher floors, ideally 3rd or 4th floor, as they tend to be farther away from the potential street noise and have a more consistent climate control system.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid any room directly facing the street (likely Avenida Central or Calle 2). These will pick up noise from passing vehicles, motorbikes, and early-morning delivery trucks. Also avoid rooms near the reception or common breakfast area, which in a 3-star property can be busy from 7am.
Rooms near the elevator or service entrance, as they may be noisier due to the constant comings and goings of staff and guests.
