Request a room on floors 3 or 4, facing the courtyard or the quieter side street. These floors are high enough to avoid street-level noise but still within the lift's reliable range, and the orientation away from the main road reduces traffic hum.
Request a room on the second or third floor facing the rear courtyard. The lift is small and slow, so being on these floors keeps you above street hubbub but not too far to walk if the lift is busy. The back-side rooms are quieter as they overlook the interior courtyard rather than the main road.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid rooms on the first floor, especially those facing the main road (Kyrenia's coastal highway can be busy day and night). Also skip rooms near the lift shaft or service stairs on any floor, as these get foot traffic and clatter from housekeeping trolleys.
Avoid rooms on the first floor facing Dr. Fazıl Küçük Caddesi. The street has steady traffic (cars, scooters, occasional buses) from early morning until late evening, and the first floor gets the full force of that noise. Also avoid rooms next to the lift shaft on any floor — it clanks audibly at all hours.
