Best rooms
Request a room on the second floor, facing away from the main road (south side). The first floor has direct access to the parking area and reception footfall. Second-floor rooms get more breeze and less ground-level disturbance from arriving cars and early morning lobby activity.
For the best experience at Casa Cecilia, request a room on the upper floors (2nd or 3rd) as they are likely to be quieter, given the hotel's rural location in Malpais. This will also provide a better chance of enjoying the views of the surrounding countryside.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid ground-floor rooms directly behind the reception or near the parking bay (first floor, east side). These catch noise from guests arriving, conversations at check-in, and engine sounds. Also avoid the room nearest the stairwell on either floor – foot traffic echoes up and down.
Avoid rooms on the ground floor, as they may be noisier due to potential street noise from the main road. Although the hotel has wheelchair ramp access, the stairs-only access to all floors means that guests and staff may be more active on the ground floor, leading to increased noise.
