Request a room on the 3rd or 4th floor at the rear of the building, away from Bahnhofstrasse. Upper floors reduce street noise and offer better views of the Jungfrau range.

Request a room on the 3rd or 4th floor facing the rear courtyard (away from Bernastrasse). These upper floors avoid street-level noise and the small amount of traffic on this residential-commercial road. The higher position also gives a clearer view of the Jungfrau massif to the south.

Rooms to avoid

Avoid rooms on floors 1 and 2 facing Bahnhofstrasse. The street carries heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic into Interlaken's main station area, and low-floor front rooms pick up that noise clearly. Also skip rooms directly above the front entrance or near the lift shaft.

Avoid rooms on the 1st floor (ground level in European terms) and any room at the front of the building facing Bernastrasse. The 1st floor suffers from street noise from pedestrians, delivery vehicles, and the hotel’s own service entrance. Front rooms get both road rumble and light from the street lamps.
