Best rooms
Request a room on the third or fourth floor at the rear of the building (away from Calle 1). The lift works fine for access, and these upper floors are quieter with less foot traffic. Standard doors and ramp access are fine for most guests, but no grab bars in showers means limited accessibility.
Request rooms on floors 3 or 4 facing the rear courtyard rather than the street. These upper floors reduce street-level noise and offer better air circulation in Acapulco's humidity.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid rooms on the first or second floor facing Calle 1. Street noise from local traffic, pedestrians, and occasional music is loudest on these lower levels. The side entrance ramp leads directly to ground-floor corridors, so rooms near that entry point can also pick up extra noise from people coming and going.
Steer clear of rooms near the lift shaft on any floor — 3-star lift machinery can be audible. Also avoid ground-floor rooms facing the street: they catch traffic noise from Avenida Costera Miguel Alemán and foot traffic from the pavement.
