Request a room on the first or second floor at the back of the building (away from Via Pederore). These are high enough to catch some light but low enough for easy stair access — there is no lift here.
Request rooms on the third floor (piano terzo) facing the courtyard. The third floor is the top floor, minimising foot traffic above you, and the courtyard side cuts the street noise from Via Delle Fosse.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid ground-floor rooms overlooking Via Pederore. The street is a residential through-road with early morning traffic and delivery vans. Also skip top-floor attic rooms if offered — Feltre’s summer heat makes them stuffy and the stairs are steep.
Avoid rooms facing Via Delle Fosse, especially on the first and second floors. This narrow historic street carries vehicle and pedestrian noise, and lower floors get the worst of it.
