Best rooms
Top-floor rooms at the back of the building (facing the inner courtyard) – these minimise street noise and give you a quieter night. If available, corner rooms on the south side catch morning light without the afternoon heat.
Rooms on higher floors (8-10) are recommended, as they tend to be quieter due to being further away from the street noise on J Street. Additionally, rooms on the north side of the hotel may experience some noise from the adjacent buildings, but it's generally less than those on the south side, which faces the street.
Rooms to avoid
Stay clear of rooms overlooking the front parking lot or street – Granville Street can get traffic rumble early and late. Also avoid rooms directly above the lobby bar (loud music until 11pm on weekends).
Avoid rooms on the lower floors (1-3), especially those near the street-facing windows, as they may be more prone to noise from cars, pedestrians, and nearby bars.
