Best rooms
Request an upper-level room on the rear side of the building (facing away from the main street). At a 3-star auberge in central Bouaké, the upper floors are quieter than ground level, and the rear aspect avoids street noise from the boulevard traffic and motorbikes.
Request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor facing the inner courtyard (away from the street). These floors are high enough to avoid street-level noise and low enough that you can use the stairs if the lift is slow.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid ground floor rooms near the reception or common areas (lounges, dining). Also avoid rooms facing the main street at the front — Bouaké's streets are busy with cars, mopeds, and occasional horns. Lower floors near the main entrance also get foot traffic noise.
Avoid rooms on the ground floor — they are closest to the reception, bar and street, so you'll hear foot traffic, conversations and road noise. Also skip rooms directly above the bar if possible, as music and chatter can carry late into the evening.
