Best rooms
Request a room on the 4th or 5th floor facing the courtyard (rear). These are highest above street noise and away from Fiedlerstraße. The lift serves all floors, so stairs are not an issue if you prefer higher floors.
Request a room on the 3rd or 4th floor facing the inner courtyard (Hinterhof) — these are quieter and get more natural light than the street-facing ones.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid rooms on the 1st floor (ground level) and any facing Fiedlerstraße directly. The single lift shaft may cause some vibration on floors 2-3, but street-facing rooms on those floors will still get traffic noise from the main road.
Avoid rooms on the 1st or 2nd floor facing the street — street noise from Linz's tram lines and general traffic is noticeable, especially early morning.
