Best rooms
Request a room on a higher floor (3rd floor or above) to minimize street noise from the waterfront promenade, which runs along the coast near the hotel. These rooms will also have a better view of the sea.
Request a room on the top floor (second floor) facing away from the waterfront. These rooms are furthest from street-level noise and above the first-floor footfall.
Rooms to avoid
If you're a light sleeper, avoid rooms on the 1st floor, as they're closest to the street and may pick up more noise from passing pedestrians and water traffic. Rooms near the lift are also a good idea to avoid, as the lift can be a bit noisy.
Avoid any room on the first floor directly above the street. Without a lift, street-facing first-floor rooms pick up waterfront traffic and pedestrian noise, especially in July and August.
