Best rooms
Request rooms on floors 3 or 4, facing away from Praia’s main coastal road (Avenida Amílcar Cabral). These upper floors get more breeze and less street rumble. Rooms on the east side catch morning light but avoid the afternoon heat that hits west-facing rooms.
Request a high-floor room on the ocean-facing side (the side away from Av Rotary International). Floors 5-8 give you a better sea view and less street noise.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid ground-floor rooms (especially street-side). They pick up traffic noise from the Avenida and foot traffic from the nearby market area. Also skip any room directly above the small reception/lobby – can get footfall noise in the evening.
Avoid low-floor rooms on the Av Rotary International side; rooms on floors 1-3 face the street and pick up traffic noise from that main road. Also avoid rooms near the lift core on any floor—lift hum is audible.
