Best rooms
Request a room on the 4th or 5th floor facing the sea (south side). These upper floors get better views and less street-level noise from the Boulevard de la Croisette traffic. The two lifts mean quick access from these floors.
Request a high-floor room on the north side (facing the old town or hills) to avoid street noise from La Croisette and the marina. Floors 4 and above are preferable for quieter sleep.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid ground-floor rooms; the wheelchair-access room is near the entrance and may have corridor noise. Rooms near the lift lobby on any floor can pick up mechanical sounds and chatter; ask for a room away from the lifts. Rooms overlooking the back alley (north side) might get kitchen or service noise.
Avoid rooms on the second floor directly above the main lobby and bar area—nighttime noise from events and late bar can be irritating. Also avoid south-facing rooms below floor 3 which get street and promenade noise.
