Request a room on floors 4–6 facing away from the main street (toward the rear of the building). These upper floors are above any ground-level bar noise and give you a quieter, slightly more private position.
Request a room on the 4th or 5th floor facing the inner courtyard (south side), away from Kamiohatachō street. Upper floors reduce street noise from the main road, and the courtyard side is quieter.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid rooms on floor 2 and any room directly overlooking the street side on lower floors – these pick up traffic rumble from Niigata's main road and possible late-night pedestrian noise.
Avoid rooms on the 1st floor (closest to street level and lobby noise) and any room facing Kamiohatachō street (north side) — expect traffic hum, especially in mornings and evenings. Also avoid rooms near the lift shaft on any floor, as the single lift can be noisy.
