Request a room on the north side of the single-storey block, away from the entrance and the Bolgatanga Road-facing front. These rooms back onto a quieter neighbourhood plot and pick up less traffic rumble from the main road.
Request a room on a higher floor (3rd floor or above) to minimize street noise. These rooms are more likely to have concrete floors, which can help reduce foot traffic and outside noise.
Rooms to avoid
Avoid rooms near the front of the property, especially those facing Bolgatanga Road. Street noise from passing taxis, tro-tros and market traffic starts early (around 6am) and can run late into the evening. Also avoid rooms adjacent to the gated parking area – engine idling and arrival/departure chatter carry easily across the single-storey layout.
Avoid rooms near the service entrance ( likely on the ground floor or 1st floor) as this area may receive more foot traffic and noise from staff and deliveries.
