Request a room on the historic section on the 3rd floor. These rooms are slightly quieter due to being away from the main entrance and stairwell, and some have a more traditional charm.
Request a room on floors 2 or 3 facing away from the main road. Udupi's streets can get busy with auto-rickshaws and buses, so the higher floor and rear orientation reduce traffic noise.

Avoid rooms on the ground floor or near the main entrance, as they may be more prone to street noise from the KSRTC Bus Stand opposite the hotel.
Avoid rooms on floor 1 directly above the lobby or near the lift shaft — these pick up foot traffic and mechanical hum. Also avoid any rooms facing the main road at the front of the building.
