Request a room on the 3rd floor facing the mountains (south side). Higher floors reduce street-level noise from Rue du Centre Sportif, and the south side looks away from the road towards the slopes.
Request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor facing away from the main road. These floors are high enough to avoid street-level bustle but low enough for quick stair access (the lift is small and slow). The rear side looks onto the quiet valley and forest.
Rooms to avoid
Skip rooms on the 1st floor at the front of the building — closest to Rue du Centre Sportif, traffic noise from the sport centre access road, and potential foot traffic from the entrance.
Avoid ground-floor rooms near the lobby or breakfast area, as they pick up early-morning noise from luggage wheels, staff, and guests chatting. Also avoid rooms directly above the bar (closes around 11 PM) if you're a light sleeper.
