Best Time to Visit Wichit
Wichit sits on Phuket’s east coast, shielded from the worst of the monsoon but still subject to the island’s two distinct seasons: dry and wet. The best months offer strong sunshine, low humidity and calm seas, while the rainy season brings cheaper rooms and greener hills.

January and February are peak-perfect: 30°C highs, little rain, and the sea is flat. March also works well, with fewer tourists but still mostly dry weather.

December to February is high season. Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year drive hotel rates 50–80% above low-season prices. Book three months ahead or pay a premium.
💷 Shoulder (best value)
March and April offer the same dry heat as winter but at 30–40% lower rates. Crowds thin out after Songkran (mid-April). May is the start of the wet season but still sees many sunny days and rock-bottom prices.
🌙 Quietest & cheapest
September and October are the wettest and cheapest. You’ll get heavy downpours most afternoons, but also 60–70% discounts on accommodation. Good if you don’t mind planning around the rain.

🎭 Events worth timing a trip around
Songkran (Thai New Year, 13–15 April) turns Wichit’s streets into a massive water fight. The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta (early December) draws sailing teams and spectators to the east coast, with parties and races in nearby Chalong Bay.
