Best Time to Visit Siwan
Siwan, in Bihar, has a subtropical climate with very hot summers, a rainy monsoon, and mild winters. The best times to visit are the cooler, drier months when you can actually get around without wilting.
✦ Go between November and February for the only reliably pleasant weather to see Siwan properly.
✅ Best months
November to February. Temperatures are pleasant (10-25°C), humidity low, and it's easy to explore the town and surrounding areas. Crowds are manageable, and accommodation prices are moderate.
🔥 Peak season
December and January. The weather is ideal, so it's busy with domestic tourists and some pilgrims. Hotel prices can rise by 20-30%. There are no major local events, but the comfortable climate itself drives the demand.
💷 Shoulder (best value)
October and March. October is post-monsoon, still warm but drying out; March is pre-summer, warming up. Both offer lower hotel rates (15-25% discount) and fewer tourists, with mostly good weather.
🌙 Quietest & cheapest
June to September (monsoon). Heavy rain, high humidity, and occasional flooding make travel difficult. Hotels are cheapest, but many have poor drainage and power cuts. Not recommended unless you're on a bare-bones budget and don't mind wet clothes.

🎭 Events worth timing a trip around
Chhath Puja (October or November) is major in Bihar, including Siwan—devotees gather at rivers and ponds around sunrise/sunset. The local Ram Navami fair (March/April) has processions and stalls, but it's hot.
🧳 What to pack
Pack a sturdy umbrella and waterproof footwear from June to September; monsoon can flood streets even in town.
