Best Time to Visit Leme
Leme, Rio de Janeiro’s quieter beach neighbourhood, has a subtropical climate that stays warm year-round. The main variables are rain, humidity, and how many travellers are sharing your space on the sand.

April to June. The summer crowds have thinned, the rain eases off, and you still get 27–28°C days with lower humidity.

December to February. That’s Brazilian summer and school holidays. Hotels run at 80–100% occupancy, rates double, and the beach is packed from 9am. New Year’s Eve (Réveillon) spikes prices further.

March and November. Rooms are 20–30% cheaper than peak, weather is still warm, and the water is pleasant. March can still have heavy rain; November is more reliable.

Réveillon (31 Dec) draws huge crowds to Copacabana’s fireworks, easily walkable from Leme. Carnival (Feb/Mar) means parades and block parties that fill every hotel in the city.
