India
Best Time to Visit Indore
Indore has a tropical climate with three distinct seasons: a hot and dry summer, a humid and rainy monsoon, and a cool, dry winter. The city is most comfortable and enjoyable during the winter months, when sightseeing and street-food tours are a pleasure.
✦ Go between October and February for the best weather and the most enjoyable experience of Indore's food and heritage.
✅ Best months
October through February. Days are sunny and 20–28°C, nights are cool, and humidity is low. Crowds are moderate, and hotel prices are reasonable outside Diwali/New Year spikes.
🔥 Peak season
November (Diwali) and late December to early January (Christmas/New Year). Hotels can be 30–50% higher and must be booked weeks ahead. The city is festive, but crowds at landmarks and restaurants are heavy.
💷 Shoulder (best value)
March and September. March is still warm but not scorching (max ~35°C); hotels offer 20–30% discounts. September sees monsoon tail end with occasional rain, low tourist numbers, and good deals.
🌙 Quietest & cheapest
April to June (pre-monsoon heat). Daytime temperatures exceed 40°C; sightseeing is exhausting. Hotel rates drop 40–60%, but only suitable if you plan mainly indoor activities or early-morning outings.
