Barbados
Best Time to Visit Crane
Crane Beach on Barbados' southeast coast has reliably warm weather year-round, but the timing matters for crowd levels and rain. The island's dry season runs from December to June, with the most settled conditions between January and April.
✦ Go in February or March for the best combination of sunshine and manageable crowds; budget travellers should target May or June.
✅ Best months
February and March offer peak dry-season weather with low humidity and steady trade winds, plus manageable visitor numbers before the Easter rush. April is excellent too, with still-reliable sunshine and thinning crowds.
🔥 Peak season
December to April is the high season. Christmas, New Year and the Crop Over festival (July–August) push hotel rates up by 40–60%. Most visitors come for the guaranteed sun and to escape northern winters.
💷 Shoulder (best value)
May and June are the real budget shoulder. Prices drop 20–30% from peak, the weather stays mostly dry, and the beach is quieter. June also sees the start of Barbados' Jazz Excursion festival.
🌙 Quietest & cheapest
September and October are cheapest but wettest, with the highest chance of tropical storms. Hotels can be 50% cheaper, but you risk rain for hours at a time. Some restaurants close for periods.

🧳 What to pack
Pack a light rain jacket or packable anorak even in dry months – sudden squalls can blow in from the Atlantic, especially in the afternoon.
