Ancient citadel perched above the Tigris River with cave dwellings and ruined mosques. The site is partially submerged due to the Ilısu Dam, but the fortress and upper sections remain accessible.

💡 Go early morning to avoid heat and crowds. Take bus from Batman bus station to Hasankeyf (30 mins, 15 TL). Entry to fortress ruins is free, but you'll need sturdy shoes for the climb.

Distinctive turquoise-tiled tomb of an Aq Qoyunlu prince, relocated from Hasankeyf to save it from dam flooding. The cylindrical structure with conical roof sits in a park-like setting.

💡 Entry costs 5 TL (cash only). It's a 10-minute walk from Hasankeyf Fortress. The interior is empty but the tilework is worth seeing. Combine with your Hasankeyf trip.
