Getting Around Ascoli Piceno
Buy a ticket at any tabaccheria or at the automated machine near the bus stop. Validate it on board. Route 3 runs closest to the hotel. If you're in the old town, it's a brisk 20-minute uphill walk — doable with light luggage.
Take the Start shuttle from the airport to Ascoli's bus station (€14). Then catch bus line 3 or 7 toward Campolungo — it runs only once an hour and stops at the hotel entrance. Ask the driver to announce 'Villa Sgariglia'.
From Ancona Airport, take the BRT bus (€3) to Ancona Centrale. The train to Ascoli is a regional service with comfortable seats — sit on the left side for views of the Monte Conero coast. At Ascoli station, take a short taxi (€10, 10 mins) to the hotel.
Pre-book via the hotel desk or a reliable local firm like NCC Ascoli. Avoid unofficial drivers at the airport — they charge a premium.
